Queer / Gay Therapist and Psychologist Jeff Paulez

Welcome.

I’m glad you’re here.

Are you struggling with feeling confident in your own skin?

Are you feeling anxious or uncertain?

Are you overwhelmed by what has happened to you?

Have you experienced trauma and aren’t sure how to move forward?

Are you longing for deeper connection with others?

Are you needing support to feel close, safe, and connected in your romantic relationship(s)?

Are you exhausted from the prejudice and discrimination you face?

Looking for a queer / gay therapist? Or open to one? Struggling to find someone who is a good fit in your area?

My name is Jeff Paulez (he/him) and I am a Licensed Psychologist in Colorado. I provide services to meet you where you’re at, co-create space for healing, and journey with you toward your goals. For more than 10 years, I have been helping adults—from young adults to young-at-heart and wise elders—heal and grow. I have extensive experience with young adults (20s & 30s) through working at universities.

As a member of the queer / LGBTQ+ community, I knew I wanted to provide affirming services to my community, our allies, and other marginalized and oppressed people. I believe my experience and expertise in this area also enhances my work with everyone. Together we can invite all parts of you to heal and grow. Your body, heart, mind, and spirit. You can (re)author your own story. Having experiences as both therapist and client, I know how important it is to feel safe, seen, and supported. Being human is messy. You don’t have to do this alone. I would love to connect.

(Re)Discover Your True North.

  • (Re)claim your strengths.

  • (Re)connect and deepen your relationships.

  • (Re)gain your sense of purpose and worth.

  • (Re)author your own story.

Online Therapy, available in 40 States and counting

I am licensed and rooted in Colorado, and if you are here or in any PSYPACT participating U.S. state or territory I’ve got you covered. Teletherapy is convenient and increases access, especially when location, lack of opportunities to work with therapists who share identities, or other barriers get in the way.

“Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.”

James Baldwin

We are more than what has happened to us.

All of our experiences impact us in big and small ways, and we are more than our experiences. No matter what you’ve been through or how you’ve been treated, you deserve safety, respect, and opportunities to heal.

Healing and growth are possible.

Sometimes we get stuck. We can feel overwhelmed or like nothing we try is working. We find ourselves repeating patterns in relationships and behaviors that leave us feeling unhappy. Or maybe we know we just need space and support to reconnect with our truest selves and values. Wherever you’re at, your current experience is not a life sentence. I am lucky enough to again and again witness healing, growth, and change through therapy. I would love to walk with you and be a part of your journey. We all need space to wander—to be creative, connect to our true selves, and explore.

We all need safety and connection.

I call this refuge. I call this a safe haven. Therapy is a relationship between real people and it is vital to feel safe and supported. I work to help you feel seen, validated, and challenged toward growth and your own goals. My hope is experiencing mutual trust and collaboration will provide space for growth and opportunity to try new things.
